Coinbase Futures – Spring 2025 Release: More Hours, More Contracts, and More Perpetual

TL;DR: Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM) is dedicated to creating the premier futures trading experience for retail traders. As part of this mission, CFM now allows 24/7 trading of BTC and ETH futures*, as well as access to new crypto contracts (like SOL and XRP) and non-crypto contracts (like silver and soon equities). In the near term, CFM will also begin to offer perpetual-style futures to US customers.

More Hours

For the first time ever on Coinbase Advanced, BTC and ETH futures contracts are available to trade 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.* Previously, futures trading was only available from Sunday to Friday. Now, traders in the US have the flexibility to open and close positions on BTC and ETH futures at any time. Round-the-clock trading affords our customers more opportunities to execute their strategies, as well as better manage risk and respond to market movements. We are also planning to expand 24/7 trading access to additional futures contracts, starting with SOL and XRP in the coming weeks.
