Headless Onramp June Update: Unlimited Lifetime Limits, Google Pay, App2App, and More

TL;DR: We’ve upgraded Coinbase Headless Onramp with self-serve access, higher transaction limits, Google Pay support, and App2App mobile deeplinking. Enabling all developers to bring a native, fully-branded crypto purchase experience into their app.

Unlimited lifetime transactions through Limits Upgrade

Previously, users who transacted through the headless Onramp were capped at 15 lifetime transactions and $500/week - a hard ceiling that cut off engaged users and left volume untapped.

With the new limits/upgrade API, users who hit a limit can upgrade their account in seconds by completing a lightweight verification, including name, date of birth, and the last four digits of their SSN. Approved users receive:

A new weekly limit: of $2500
Unlimited Lifetime transactions

Google Pay support

Google Pay is now available in the Headless Onramp API, joining Apple Pay as a supported payment method and making it easy to support your mobile users across both iOS and Android.
