Axion is a decentralized finance (DeFi) application and network designed to enhance its ecosystem and participants' purchasing power. Axion aims to establish an ethical ecosystem for digital assets portfolio growth and a scalable passive income solution for all users.
As per itse whitepaper, Axion seeks to solve the challenges concerning traditional finance that range from antiquated banking practices, centralized governance to low-interest rates and returns. The Axion platform overcomes these issues by providing high yields, cryptocurrency certificates of deposit (CD), and crypto smart contracts. Axion also aims to offer a blockchain-powered venture fund alongside high-interest time-locked stakes that allow users to earn high yields and additional funds.
AXN is the native token of the Axion platform. The AXN token operates on the ERC20 token standard on the Ethereum network. The functionality of the token permits minting through:
Axion was launched on November 13, 2020. Joel Gerlach serves the network as the core contributor and has been associated with Axion since May 2021.
Axion successfully migrated from Ethereum to the Polygon network on October 19, 2021.
