Fracture Labs is a team of veteran game developers who are creating an open world survival game with a blockchain based economy, called DECIMATED. The team is creating a 64km2 map in Unreal Engine 4, where players can choose to play a human citizen or a cyborg cop, and must compete with each other to earn cryptocurrency (DIO) in a massive persistent online world.

According to its whitepaper, Decimated runs on numerous AWS servers across the world, with a centralized SQL back-end database for player stats. SQL is a programming language that is used to access and manipulate databases. On the other hand, Solana blockchain carries out activities related to the NFT and DIO token, allowing for peer-to-peer trade and virtual item digital scarcity.
DIO is the digital currency of Decimated, represented by the symbol Ð. The token is based on the Solana blockchain integrated into the Unreal Engine to enable digitally scarce virtual items and digital currency for trading. DIO token is utilized to give paid tasks to other players and trade virtual items, including item upgrades, character modifications, and base-building equipment. The DIO token reflects the cost of a vehicle, a consumable, or a weapon.
Each player can link their chosen digital wallet to their account. However, the platform offers an in-game digital wallet that can display player information, team factions, digital currency, and more. Players can earn DIO tokens by purchasing in-game tokens on exchanges or websites, referring players to the game, completing missions successfully, killing monsters and other players, and looting the environment.
