For example, masternodes vote on freezing funds or ways to direct funds right. In addition to the masternode network, Energi uses on-chain governance to benefit users with enhanced security features. Hence, Energi maintains a decentralized structure without letting go of the platform’s goals.
Energiuses NRG as the official utility token of the platform. The platform primarily works on a Proof-of-Stake consensus model, allowing NRG holders to continue staking coins on the network and win token rewards in return. Also, NRG is distributed as a reward to the masternodes for voting on proposals and increasing the treasury gains. As the website cites, approximately one million NRG is created every month.
