Manna (MANNA) is a publicly traded and blockchain-based currency to test the idea of universal basic income. The project seeks to offer a UBI subsidy plan to every human being in the world. The Manna project seeks to achieve three main goals:

As mentioned on the website, the utility token for Manna is MANNA. The token uses SHA-256 cryptographicmining. Also, miners can earn rewards in exchange for offering computing power to process transactions. Manna is built with the aim to achieve fast transaction times, low fees, and accessibility. 

In order to access their funds, users can view transactions and crypto wallet balances in the Manna blockchain or their Mannabase account. Moreover, Mannabase is the hub of the Manna platform hosted by the NGO. The team plans to distribute Manna at a rate of 1 per day to every verified holder. 

For funding the project in an equitable manner, the Manna team has adopted a model called 1.5 root reduction. The users can continue to claim their Manna amount each year for up to five years. Additionally, any excess amount that is not claimed will be transferred to the DAO of the H4H NGO. 

Manna was previously launched as "Grantcoin" in 2015. It is managed and distributed by a US-based NGO called "Hedge for Humanity" that seeks to receive trading and tax-deductible donations. Manna was previously distributed solely through the Mannabase website. The supply at launch was 20,000,000 MANNA.
