The project has a decentralized identity-based accounting structure to seek to avoid money laundering while aiming to protect the users' privacy. Also, MetaMUI adopts two-tier blockchain nodes architecture, Bank Node and Mobile Node, aiming to balance decentralization and efficiency and optimize current mobile and edge-computing environments. Further, in MetaMUI, both blockchain ledger and chain code perform digital currency transactions created dynamically where chain codes are downloaded and run on local devices and support the offline operation.

MetaMUI's consensus protocol combines pBFT (practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance) and PoS (proof of stake) and has two different structures to store transaction data. One is the Event Sourcing Ledger, and the other is Summary Ledger. Users can choose to participate in any digital currency consensus process and seek to earn rewards by contributing to the project.
