MoneyToken is a blockchain-based financial ecosystem built on the Ethereum platform. The platform is a lending service provider that offers loans in the form of stable currencies. The stable currencies are the cryptocurrencies that are backed by other assets like BTC or ETH. MoneyToken platform comprises of crypto-backed loan system, MoneyToken owned stablecoin MTC, and a decentralized exchange.
Spending crypto assets today removes the ability of a user to benefit from any future value growth. Also, users who buy low need to hold on to their assets to benefit from trading high. Therefore to solve this issue, the MoneyToken platform was developed to allow users to borrow liquid funds in stable currency instantly, based on the current value of holdings of crypto assets.
Users get loans in a stable currency against collateral with volatile assets such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. And after loan repayment, they receive their entire collateral back even if the collateral has often increased in value. This way, they're able to acquire liquid funds and conserve their crypto position. MoneyToken need not require evaluations of the market value of users' assets (as happens in the case of re-mortgaging a property). Users don't need to undergo invasive and unnecessary credit checks because the blockchain-based asset ownership is verifiable and has a transparent value to the market. Nothing is added to the users' credit history or any public credit file. Loan decisions are made instantaneously.
Additionally, MoneyToken claims to provide loans with transparent, reasonable rates and no additional commissions or fees. The rate is agreed upon during the loan set up through the platform and fixed for the loan term duration. The platform aims to provide authority to crypto-assets to outperform loan interest repayments methods.
