PolkaWar is a blockchain-based gaming platform built around decentralized finance (DeFi) and NFTs. The decentralized gaming platform seeks to allow players to create unique characters and participate in digital battles with other players on the platform. According to the whitepaper, PolkaWar focuses on creating a digital fighting game world inspired by the boom of NFTs in the crypto space. The fighting game will have three characters (Warrior, Archer, and Magician), a host of weapons, and other combat equipment. Players can upgrade all the items, including characters, and access new advancements on each level. Additionally, users can auction their items on the NFT marketplace built within the game, allowing them to earn real value for the times and skills they invest in playing the game. 

PWAR is the native cryptocurrency of PolkaWar and functions as a utility token for the platform. The platform seeks to reward PWAR tokens to the liquidity providers and disburses the token as staking rewards. Moreover, the platform intends to collect PWAR as transaction fees on the marketplace and as renting fees for various NFTs. Likewise, players can acquire various in-game equipment, weapons, and NFTs using PWAR tokens. PolkaWar also seeks to use PWAR as a governance token for the ecosystem. PWAR holders can participate in decentralized governance, deciding on essential matters like development, growth, revenue, etc. 

The PolkaWar gaming platform is still under development, and the developers are aiming for a launch in March 2022. However, the whitepaper was released on August 3, 2021. PolkaWar is headed by CEO and cofounder Jackson Mohr, a programming expert and crypto trader. PWAR has a maximum total supply of 90 million tokens, out of which 20% is reserved for marketing, 3% for public sale, 10% for private sale, and 20% for the foundation.
