Backed by investors like Signia Ventures, Floodgate, Winkelvoss Ventures, and Multicoin Capital, SKALE embarked on its mission to transform blockchain scalability.

After two and a half years of development, SKALE launched its mainnet in three phases starting in June 2020. The phased rollout included the first public use of ConsenSys Codefi’s Activate platform, requiring participants in the SKL token sale to stake their tokens before transferring them. By the final mainnet phase in December 2020, SKALE supported staking and delegation with over 46 validator organizations.
