WallStreetBets DApp is a community-driven and operated version of r/wallstreetbets with decentralization. r/wallstreetbets, also known by the names WallStreetBets or WSB, is a subreddit where network participants can discuss option and stock trading. A subreddit is defined as an online community on the social media website Reddit.
According to the website, this WSB movement was designed for financial democracy, and soon it became a global phenomenon. By keeping this in mind, the WSB team has developed a DApp (decentralized application) to seek to provide its community with a tool that can help voice their opinions on trading. At the same time, WallStreetBets DApp works toward solving the fees and market manipulation issue of centralized financial institutions.
Further, WSB is deploying a WallStreetBets ETP (exchange traded portfolio), which aims to be borderless, self-custodial, instantly redeemable, liquid, and completely fungible. WSB ETP refers to a physical copy of a weighted portfolio of crypto assets. ETP aligns itself with the assets made up of the basket in a balanced manner.
Next, WSB DApp seeks to consist of a few key components that make it unique:
Jaime Rogozinski is the man behind the creation of r/wallstreetbets. He founded the platform in 2012, and since then, he has created multiple successful ventures of his own. Rogozinski brings a cutting-edge amalgamation of technology and business with a passion for entrepreneurship to this decentralized WSB platform.
WSB DApp launched its litepaper in March 2021, followed by the ETP (exchange traded portfolio) product launch in May 2021. The maximum total supply for the WSB token is 1,000,000,000 WSBs.
