Questflow unlocks the autonomous agent economy with CDP Server Wallets and x402
August 1, 2025

Background
Questflow is an AI-native automation engine designed to coordinate autonomous agents across Web2 and Web3. Whether triggering defi trades, publishing content, or reacting to market signals, Questflow agents operate on behalf of users, autonomously and onchain.
As user demand grew for multi-agent orchestration and real-time coordination, Questflow needed a reliable way to give every agent its own wallet and to let agents pay one another without relying on human signatures, gas payments, or key management.
Challenge
To build a thriving multi-agent economy, Questflow had to solve three critical problems:
Wallet provisioning at scale: Every user and every AI agent needed a secure onchain wallet. One that was fast to create, safe to operate, and chain-agnostic.
Autonomous payments: Agents needed to pay one another for services and data without user intervention, gas fees, or manual signing.
Low-latency performance: With agents reacting to real-time data, latency and transaction throughput had to meet high standards for responsiveness and reliability.
Traditional wallets couldn’t meet these needs at scale, especially when layered into autonomous workflows.
Solution
Questflow adopted CDP Server Wallets for secure, scalable wallet creation and integrated x402 to power autonomous onchain payments between agents. Together, these tools unlocked:
Fast, secure agent wallets: Built on AWS Nitro Enclaves and provisioned via API, CDP Wallets let Questflow generate wallets for every agent with sub-200ms signing latency and no user key management.
x402-native payments: The x402 protocol enabled agents to send and receive onchain payments over HTTP, without user signatures, gas payments, or custom backend logic.
Seamless coordination: Agents could now transact with one another in real time, enabling rich coordination patterns and microservice-style interactions onchain.
This combination powered Questflow’s Multi-Agent Orchestration Protocol (MAOP) — turning individual automations into collaborative, composable systems.
Result
Since integrating CDP Wallets v2 and x402, Questflow has:
Processed 130,000+ autonomous microtransactions, fueling a vibrant agent-to-agent economy
Integrated over 30 third-party agents, including CoinGecko, RootData, DexScreener, Notion, and X - all transacting natively onchain via CDP
Delivered a 95% improvement in wallet setup and agent coordination, thanks to no-code onboarding and seamless payments
Enabled real-time, multi-agent workflows, from defi strategies to social engagement automations
Together, CDP Wallets and x402 helped Questflow realize the core unlock of the agent economy: scalable, secure infrastructure for autonomous onchain coordination.
