Building on Coinbase’s CFL Investment
Building on our recent milestone as the first-ever crypto partner of the CFL and the 111th Grey Cup, we're deepening our connection to the CFL through the Toronto Argonauts. Starting in 2025, the Coinbase logo will be featured on the Argonauts' jersey connecting crypto to a local sports institution with 150 years of history. Coinbase will also be featured prominently in-stadium during all Argos home games.
Connecting with TFC’s growing fanbase & launching the Coinbase Lounge
Coinbase will connect with Canada's growing soccer fanbase and enhance their in-stadium experience with the newly-renovated Coinbase Lounge at BMO Field. This offers a premium space for fans to engage with the Coinbase brand while attending TFC matches and Argos games.
Beyond our physical presence, we'll be enhancing the fan experience through digital activations across TFC and the Argos' social media platforms, including interactive games and contests. Lucas has always believed in Coinbase’s mission. He opened his Coinbase account back in 2014, long before joining the company. In his role, he ensures Coinbase is built for Canadians and with their interests in mind. Working with partners, government and regulators, he is making crypto more accessible to Canadians.
Prior to Coinbase, he was the founder and CEO of Pinshape (exit Formlabs), and Senior Director at Shopify leading various operational and finance teams.
