Monstro is a decentralized ecosystem on Base centered around DAO governance and product development through Monstro Labs. The project is designed to identify gaps in decentralized finance and build niche, onchain products intended to generate real protocol revenue under DAO oversight. Rather than focusing on generalized financial primitives, Monstro targets specialized use cases where existing solutions are limited or inefficient. The first product under development is a permissionless, onchain lending platform that combines elements of pawn-style collateralization with decentralized lending, enabling fixed-term, collateralized positions and supporting a wide range of token types. The ecosystem emphasizes transparent governance, non-custodial design, and onchain enforcement of rules without relying on offchain guarantees or promised returns.
