Regen Ledger is a public ecological accounting system that allows various registries to communicate and deal with one another. It is also a public blockchain that works on proof-of-stake mechanism. The primary goal of Regen Ledger is to collect claims and assertions about ecological health and track a new set of financial assets securely.

As cited in its whitepaper, REGEN is the Regen Ledger’s native blockchain token, which is used to carry out functions related to the operation of the Regen Network. REGEN token ensures utility for climate markers and ecological data. Also, the token holders of REGEN can participate in the Regen Network economy. The REGEN token holds the ability to access ecological knowledge and rewards ecological outcomes. The token aims to gain value from transaction fees on ecological assets and other transactions originated on-chain.

The Regen Network was founded in 2017. Brecht Deriemaeker is the co-founder of Regen Network. Besides that, Gregory Landua is the CEO of Regen Network, whereas Aaron Craelius is the Chief Technical Officer.
