Ridotto (RDT) is a community-based gambling and lottery protocol that aims to allow users to create or play games and gain rewards by supplying liquidity to the DeFi (decentralized finance) ecosystem. As per the whitepaper, this network is a cross-chain platform based on complete fairness, security, transparency, and anonymity. The Ridotto network aims to solve issues with the gambling industry, such as a lack of transparency for the players, cut-throat competition for the operators, and restrictions to newcomers from fully participating in the sector. This platform claims to solve these issues by developing the decentralized open-source Ridotto network, based on a transparent smart contract that offers gambling and DeFi ecosystem, cryptocurrency jackpots, and instant payout.

RDT is the native and governance token of the Ridotto network. The RDT token powers the Ridotto gambling and lottery protocol. Out of the total token supply, 25% were allocated for staking, and 15% were distributed for token sale and ecosystem each. Further, 10% each was distributed to marketing and partnership, bug bounties and accelerator, the team, and the reserve. The remaining 5% was distributed to the advisor.

M. Mohammed and B. Fayrouz are the cofounders of the Ridotto network. Mohammad is the CEO, and Fayrouz is the CMO of the network. According to the whitepaper, the Ridotto network claims to achieve several milestones. In quarter 4 of 2020, the platform identified and established an advisory board to solve the gambling sector's problems and opportunities. Later, in quarter 1 of 2021, the platform designed the protocol architecture, prototype of the solution, and proposed the whitepaper. Further, in quarter 3 of 2021, the platform released the Ridotto Token "RDT," launched the Ridotto IDO (Initial Dex Offering), launched farming and staking pools, and released an NFT cards multiplier. The term IDO refers to the crypto token offering on a Decentralized Exchange (DEX).
