About Universal Basic Income
UBI is the first application to be built on top of the Proof of Humanity registry, an anti-Sybil attack tool designed by Kleros. The UBI token will be streamed directly to an Ethereum address as long as it gets verified as a human in the Proof of Humanity registry and starts the accrual process, establishing a fair and ongoing distribution model. It will provide universal access to liquidity that serves to inhibit financial coercion of public decisions and will be tradeable in all open markets. The ability to develop a reliable self-sovereign identity validation process brought on by Proof of Humanity has established the bedrock for the infrastructure required to make a Universal Basic Income (UBI) mechanism that can reach everyone on Earth.

A Universal Basic Income (UBI) is a blockchain technology that functions on the Ethereum platform using the proof-of-humanity algorithm. For this reason, Kleros and Democracy Earth have designed the UBI token distribution mechanism to be based on time and humanity to establish borderless democratic autonomous organizations (DAO).
Further, proof-of-humanity DApp aims to build a Sybil-proof list of human beings on the protocol. All successfully registered profiles in the proof-of-humanity registry accrue UBI tokens. The user who registers as a human on proof of humanity can begin accruing UBI by clicking the "Start accruing UBI" button on their profile page. Anyone can see how many UBI tokens they have received on any proof-of-humanity profile entry. Thus, proof of humanity seeks to allow various uses like credit scoring, insurance, funding, and human DAOs.UBI is also helpful in delivering a periodic payment to all members of the system.
